I was born and grew up in Grinnell, Iowa.

I earned a BA in Art and Communication from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.

I make sculpture, but enjoy throwing on the wheel.  I worked in production for about three years at Banner Oak Pottery in New London, Minnesota.  It was awesome.   

  I think camping is fun.  So is picking fruit.

I recently completed my MFA in Ceramics at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.  I'm currently teaching full-time there, and part-time at SUNY Fredonia.
