I was born and grew up in Grinnell, Iowa.

I earned a BA in Art and Communication from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.

I make sculpture, but enjoy throwing on the wheel.  I worked in production for about three years at Banner Oak Pottery in New London, Minnesota.  It was awesome.   

  I think camping is fun.  So is picking fruit.

I'm currently an adjunct professor at SUNY Fredonia and Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. 

The "aliens" are made at my home studio in Erie.
